The Multi-Service Center (MSC) provides a variety of services for individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Services include medical, dental, child care, substance abuse counseling, transitional and permanent housing assistance, and job placement services.
Goodwill provides Life Skills training classes as well as employment preparedness training classes. Once an MSC client successfully completes the classes, the client is referred to Goodwill’s Job Placement services and receives employment retention services and additional supportive services for up to one year after placement into a job.
Employers from the local community who have hired MSC clients include, but are not limited to, California Bowling Lanes, Denmark Security, Disneyland Resort, Universal Protection Services, Wal-Mart, Cambrian Homecare, and UPS.
The Goodwill staff also conducts positive recruitments (mini job fairs) throughout the year to provide additional opportunities for the individuals served to find employment quicker.
For additional information regarding job placement services provided at the MSC, call (562) 733-1147 and ask to speak to a Goodwill staff member.
