More Opportunities for Vocational Employment
Project M.O.V.E. is the newest of Goodwill’s employment placement programs. Individuals are referred to the program from various Goodwill programs of other community partners with emphasis placed on serving individuals who are homeless, low-income, at-risk older youth, or for those who are being re-integrated into the community. Self-referrals are also eligible for this training program.

Project M.O.V.E. utilizes curriculum from both the Goodwill Industries Professional Sales Associate Training Program (developed in partnership with the National Retail Federation) and the Goodwill Industries Goodwill Works Employment Preparedness Training Program. The 8-week training program allows for interns to receive four weeks of classroom training prior to being assigned to work at a Goodwill store. A training instructor provides on-going supervision and feedback throughout the program. Some individuals may be fast tracked and bypass the internship position and be placed directly into a job in the community. 

The interns who successfully complete the training program are assigned a Goodwill job developer who assists them in accessing employment opportunities in the local business community.
